First Preliminary Project

 In my first preliminary project, I had to create a visual story with 15 shots, 9 mandatory shots. This visual story had to involve one or two characters to add motion to the story. Then, I did a table with the left side containing the shot type and then the content on the right side. Later I began to create a story with two to my stuffed animals and used my phone in landscape mode to slowly create my story.  I had to also leave a short description on each slide about what was going on in the scene I created.

In my story, I began to write in my table that I did on my notebook about one stuffed animal I got on my birthday I named Fernando and my other stuffed animal called Liana. My story was about two friends who were working out together to challenge each other and to see who was more stronger than the other. The more intense and harder it got as they had different strengths in different places than the other, they decided to just stay as gym buddies at the end. I decided to take different types of shots other than the ones that were mandatory to actually give my story flavor, to not keep it plain and simple. I also ended up editing the filter and lighting on all the photos to fit into the mood of the story. I have an at home gym in my house so I decided to have the setting take place there. Also because my mom was in the living room working and watching T.V. I also wanted to actually get creative and get the full experience of the project so I also used tape for my stuffed animals in some scenes. 

I think my project came out pretty good and understandable. I tried to make it cooler with the editing I knew how to do. I still think I could have made it more creative by taping black paper to add more expression to their faces. For example, their eyes, their mouths when they were shocked, or their eyebrows to show more emotion. I also could have done it in a cooler setting, I would have used by backyard but I did not want to face the bugs at night, get everything dirty, and spend more time constructing a whole different story when the story I had created about Fernando and Liana has came to me quickly. I loved how quick the idea of the shots and the use of tape came to me. I still wish I worked with more, I was planning on making it music or band related but all my instruments were at school.
